Metal 3D Printing - Born from the Industry
AddUp inherits the experience of Fives and Michelin in metal 3D printing
AddUp inherits the industrial experience of the Fives and Michelin groups.
Our experts speak the same language as you, to make your project a success
Michelin, the experience of metal additive manufacturing in large series
The Michelin group was one of the first companies to deploy additive manufacturing for the production of serial parts. The world leader in tires developed its own laser powder bed fusion technology (PBF) in the early 2010s. Used to produce parts for tire curing molds, this technology allows the company to both reduce production costs and to make significant advances in product performance.
Today, Michelin produces more than one million mold parts per year with this technology. It was also the world’s first company to have fully automated additive manufacturing workshops.
Whatever the volume of parts to be manufactured, regardless of your level of mastery of the technology, people at AddUp are at your disposal to offer you the most suitable support solution for your needs.

Fives, recognized worldwide for the quality and robustness of its metal printing machines
Fives Group has more than two centuries of experience in the design and manufacturing of machines and turnkey production plants for companies in all industrial sectors. In addition to world-renowned machine tool brands such as Forest-Liné and Cincinnati, the group has developed a strong expertise with machines using power lasers.
AddUp’s PBF and DED machines are manufactured in France in Fives’ workshops in Saint-Céré (Lot).
Finally, the other strength of the Fives Group is a vast network of more than 100 locations in nearly 30 countries, with thousands of experts dedicated to supporting manufacturers and maintaining their machine fleet.
