Facility Safety and Operator Certification
Paul Bates will discuss the role of facility safety, training, and operator certification in building a responsible and sustainable additive manufacturing operation.
AddUp became the first additive manufacturing OEM to achieve the ASTM Additive Manufacturing Safety Certification. The certification audit evaluated areas including personal protective equipment, machine installation and grounding, powder handling, hazardous-waste disposal, and facility cleanliness. AddUp’s Cincinnati Solution Center served as the model facility for the audit.
This session will offer attendees practical insight into the safety foundations required to operate an industrial metal additive manufacturing facility.
